Premium Aluminium Bracket Door Awnings & Window Canopies: The Ultimate Shield for Your Home
🏡 Why This Awning is an Essential Investment
Intelligent Curved Design: The subtle aerodynamic curve isn't just for looks—it's functional. It naturally directs rainwater away from your building’s envelope, ensuring your thresholds remain dry and preventing water from pooling against your seals.
Flame Retardant & Safe: Our polycarbonate sheets are self-extinguishing, providing an added layer of safety for Australian homes.
Low Maintenance Longevity: Unlike fabric awnings that mold or timber that requires annual oiling, our aluminium and PC kits are "set-and-forget." A simple rinse with a garden hose is all that’s needed to keep them looking brand new.
DIY-Friendly Installation: Each kit is a complete "Ready-to-Assemble" solution. With pre-drilled brackets and precision-cut panels, the setup is straightforward for the Australian handyman or local contractor.
Absolutely. Our 2.5mm solid polycarbonate is an industrial-grade material known for its high-impact resilience. It is designed to endure typical Australian hailstorms without cracking or puncturing, making it significantly safer than glass.
2. Is the aluminium bracket suitable for coastal living?
Yes. Aluminium is the preferred material for coastal construction because it does not rust. Whether you are in a beachfront property or a high-humidity inland area, these brackets will remain structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing for years.
3. Will the polycarbonate sheet turn yellow over time?
No. Our Bayer-grade polycarbonate is UV-stabilized. This prevents the molecular breakdown that causes yellowing or brittleness in cheaper plastics, ensuring the sheet stays clear and strong for the long term.
4. Can I join multiple awnings together?
Yes! Our modular design allows you to join multiple kits side-by-side to create a continuous run. This is ideal for long walkways, wide commercial storefronts, or expansive patio areas.
5. How do I choose the right depth (0.8m, 1.0m, or 1.2m)?
For standard windows, 0.8m or 1.0m is usually sufficient. For main entry doors where you want to keep guests dry while they wait, or for patios where you want to place furniture, the 1.2m depth provides the most effective weather "envelope."
6. What maintenance is required?
Very little. The curved design helps wash away dust and debris during rainfall. We recommend a light wash with mild soapy water once every six months to maintain the frame's finish and the panel's clarity.

Council Approval
When buying a custom aluminum carport, patio cover, or DIY awning kit online, you need to know if your project requires local council approval or a building permit.
While our structures are engineered for easy DIY installation, local building codes vary depending on your location, structure size, and roof type (Polycarbonate Panels vs. Solar Panels).
1. What Local Councils Look For
When reviewing outdoor structures, local authorities generally check four main factors:
Size & Height Limits: Many regions allow small structures (under $10\text{m}^2$–$20\text{m}^2$) to be built without a permit under "Exempt" or "Permitted" development rules.
Boundary Setbacks: Councils check how close your structure is to your neighbor's property line or public easements. Front-yard structures almost always require approval.
Wind & Snow Loads: Your structure must withstand local weather extremes. Ready Canopy uses high-strength architectural aluminum alloy certified for heavy wind and snow loads.
Solar Grid Integration: If you upgrade to a Solar Carport or Solar Patio Cover, the electrical connection to the grid and the roof weight must be cleared by your local utility and building department.
2. Quick Guide by Region
Australia: Backyard patio covers under 20㎡ are often exempt from a Development Application (DA), but front-yard carports always require approval. All structures must meet AS/NZS 1170 structural standards.
United Kingdom: Most backyard structures are allowed under Permitted Development (PD) Rights, provided they do not cover more than 50% of your garden and stay under 2.5m high near boundaries.
United States: Rules are set by local Building Departments and HOAs. Small structures under 120–200 sq. ft. may not need a permit, but strict boundary setback rules still apply.
Canada: Focuses heavily on winter safety. Independent structures under 10–15㎡ usually do not require a permit, but they must meet strict Snow Load Capacity rules.

We installed this awning in 2025, and it has met or exceeded my expectations. It looks great, has withstood wind, rain, and direct sun without any problems. It is over my BBQ area on the side of my house, blocks the sun and rain, and looks great. It does take two people to install properly, but it is pretty easy to install. It is very reasonably priced for what it offers.

I bought an aluminium bracket awning to cover my solar battery system. I had a few questions while assembling the awning and the response time was very fast. Kindly note that the polycarbonate cover has a UV and a non UV side. The image attached is the advice I received as the UV side. It's been only a few days after it was installed. It feels sturdy with the aluminium brackets (vs ABS plastic from other sellers). It may seem more pricier than the ABS bracket awnings but I think you get a better product in this case.

A little slow to ship but otherwise a nice awning for the cost and easily assembled with basic skill sets. Instructions were clear and concise.

I recently installed this PC Door Awning over our main entrance, and I couldn't be happier with the result. We have a modern timber door that was starting to show signs of sun-bleaching and water damage, and this canopy was the perfect solution. The clear polycarbonate panels look almost like glass but are incredibly lightweight and impact-resistant—important for us given the occasional hailstorm.
The aluminium brackets are the real standout; they have a very clean, industrial-chic look that has significantly boosted our home’s curb appeal. Installation was a breeze with two people, and the fit against the brickwork is seamless. It has already survived its first heavy downpour, and the integrated guttering channel does a great job of directing water to the sides rather than letting it drip right where you stand to unlock the door. If you want a durable, modern awning that doesn't darken your entryway, this is definitely the way to go.

Was looking for a permanent window canopy that could handle the coastal winds here, and this Aluminium Bracket Awning definitely delivers. Unlike those cheap plastic versions you see elsewhere, the aluminium frame and brackets feel like they’re built to last a lifetime.
I’m a bit of a weekend DIYer, and I managed to get it up above our kitchen window in about 90 minutes. The instructions were straightforward and all the fixings provided were decent quality. It looks premium and, most importantly, it doesn’t rattle or flex when the wind picks up. Great value for money considering the professional finish. If you want something more permanent and 'set-and-forget' than a folding arm awning, this is the one.

I bought the Aluminium Frame Awning (Grey/White combo) for our west-facing front door, and it’s been one of the best upgrades we’ve made this year. Before the install, our front hallway would turn into a greenhouse by 2 PM. Now, the temperature drop is noticeable immediately.
The frame is surprisingly lightweight but very sturdy once mounted. It has that sleek, modern look that doesn't look dated like the old fabric ones. We've had a few heavy downpours in Sydney recently, and the drainage works perfectly—no more fumbling for keys while getting soaked! It’s added a lot of 'curb appeal' to the house, and even the neighbors have been asking where we got it.
