Pre-Installation Checklist
- Measure the installation area: record available width, depth and height. Allow clearance for vehicle doors, walking paths and roof overhang.
- Photograph the site: take photos from the front, side and fixing points. Include the wall surface, ground condition and surrounding structures.
- Confirm wall type and fixing surface: brick, timber, weatherboard and rendered surfaces may require different fixing methods.
- Check ground surface and slope: concrete, pavers, grass or soil each need different preparation. Note the drainage direction and any slope.
- Check access for delivery and equipment: confirm gate width, driveway clearance and overhead obstacles for delivery vehicles and installation tools.
- Confirm council and strata rules: check local approval requirements, property setbacks, height limits and any body corporate restrictions.
- Plan utilities and services: check for underground pipes, cables and overhead power lines near the installation area.
