Material Information
Understanding the materials used in your outdoor structure helps with maintenance planning and durability expectations.
| Component | Material | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Main frame | Aluminium alloy | Corrosion-resistant, low maintenance, powder-coated finish available in multiple colours. |
| Roof panels | Polycarbonate or insulated sandwich panel | Polycarbonate allows light transmission; insulated panels provide better heat and noise control. |
| Fasteners & fittings | Stainless steel or galvanised | Selected for outdoor durability and corrosion resistance. |
| Finish | Powder coating | Applied to aluminium frames for colour consistency and surface protection. |
Maintenance Tips
- Clean frames and panels with mild detergent and water every 3-6 months.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents or pressure washers that may damage the surface.
- Inspect fasteners and connections annually and tighten if needed.
- Clear leaves and debris from roof panels and drainage channels.
- In coastal or industrial areas, rinse with fresh water more frequently to reduce salt or chemical build-up.
Product Supply Only
Kings Awning supplies product kits. Installation is a separate matter. Warranty covers supplied products only and does not extend to third-party installation workmanship, site preparation, footings, drainage or council compliance. If you engage a local installer, confirm their own warranty terms separately.
