New All-Aluminium Solar Carport Launched for Residential and Commercial Use

A newly developed all-aluminium solar carport, named Electra Design 3, has been unveiled for both residential and commercial applications. The uniqueness of this structure is its ability to generate solar power while providing premium shelter for parked vehicles. It is designed to be fully customizable and universally compatible with standard PV modules.

Sustainable Design and Universal Compatibility

The carport features an all-aluminium frame that is fully recyclable and backed by a 5-year warranty.

The design philosophy focuses on broad accessibility. Company president Frédéric Arpin explained, “No special modules are required, as we adapt the structure to fit 99 per cent of the panels available on the market, typically between 30 mm and 35 mm thick.”

Precision Engineering and Easy Assembly

Flexibility is central to the product's appeal. Every installation can be tailored to the buyer’s preferred panels or specific site layout. “The dimensions are flexible,” Arpin added. “We tailor the structure to the customer’s modules and, if necessary, cut profiles to size for last-minute custom orders.”

The manufacturing process is fully integrated—from initial design and extrusion to coating and pre-assembly—ensuring high quality control before delivery. Despite its robust engineering, the final assembly is straightforward; if the provided instructions are followed, consumers will find the process as simple as assembling flat-pack furniture.

Technical Specifications and Configurations

The system is available in multiple sizes to suit various needs:

  • Capacity: High-end models support up to 30 PV panels of 500 W each.

  • Shelter: Can accommodate as many as four vehicles in a single unit.

  • Scalability: Multiple units can be combined to cover larger parking areas.

  • Versatility: Available in both freestanding (îlot) and lean-to (adossé) versions.

Additional Features:

  • Integrated Drainage: Rainwater routing is built directly through the support posts.

  • Clean Aesthetics: All wiring is concealed using specialized bezel systems.

  • Optimized Layout: Portrait-oriented module layout with a built-in 4 cm slope for natural drainage.

  • Custom Colors: Available in all RAL color options, with anthracite grey being the most popular choice.
